“ I thought I was seeing things when I saw another DALLAYAU on the floor above the popup store and it turns out that this was a new Bistro so we went there for dinner as it is nice and quiet. The cake selection is as good as always and it is impressive that they have a gluten free cake as a choice. As it was a cold day, we started with soups: ++++ Parisian vegetable soup: To most people, it looks like finely diced vegetables but I really liked it because it was light and tasty consomme. Onion soup with cheese toast: The onion soup was also good because it was sweet with a concentrated onion taste that wasn't too salty. +++ Lobster salad Religieuse: This was a savory version of the Religieuse dessert, the top choux is stuffed with avocado while the bottom choux is filled with lobster. +++ duck confit opera: This is a close up to show the beautiful layers. ++++ Norwegian salmon roll: The salmon roll is so much more stunning than the photo because it is wrapped in a delicious clear savory jelly. In the middle there is a poached egg with a runny yolk which makes it evilicious and gives it a surprise to someone who is having it for the first time. The gem lettuce on the side has been drizzled with lemon juice so it is really appetizing. +++ duck confit opera: This is a close up to show the beautiful layers. Everything was delicious and the drinks were equally as good. ”

“ The restaurant is rather small but still feel comfortable in the dining hall. Food tastes good and services are ok. Serving time between courses is a bit too long. ”

Complimentary house bread set a high standard for the meal. The mini baguette was very crunchy! The bun had a nice glaze and fluffy inside, delicious! Definitely choosing Baked Escargots as appetiser for a French dinner. I don’t usually go for escargots, as I am not a seafood or snail person…But the beef tartare and onion soup appeared to be quite ordinary, so I went for the escargots, and it turned out to be a great choice! The escargots were not fishy at all, probably due to all the flavorings. The mash in the bottom was very tasty too! The toasties were a bit burnt and bitter though. Main course was this Slow-cooked Beef Bourguignon. The ox cheek was really tender! I like the sauce a lot too! The mash was definitely a highlight of the dish (sorry beef, I like potato so much), which had a really rich flavor probably due to all the cream and milk in it. Yum! Dessert was this piece of French Pastry with hazelnut and egg white. The dessert was surprisingly filling as it was so dense! Yet, the hazelnut and egg white were so delicious that I couldn’t stop myself from digging in the dessert. By the time I finished it, I had a food baby already. The set also came with coffee or tea on the drink menu. I opted for Vienna Coffee with a creamy top. A great drink to balance out the sweetness and fullness from dessert. ”

“ It’s a great deal if you can book with discount via eatigo. All food taste great and nicely presented. Just if the portion is a bit bigger would be perfect. I personally thinks the food at Admiralty branch taste better than Entertainment branch and seems portion also slightly bigger. ”

“ Bought cake from here to reward our hard work in April! . My supervisor and I chose Black Forest, Mixed Berry & Basil Mousse Tart and Opera share. The Black Forest looked delicate with chocolate chips and cranberries on top. It was quite crispy and the sponge cake inside blended well with the chocolate. The Mixed Berry & Basil Mousse Tart was surrounded by white chocolate, so it was comparatively sweeter. The Opera got the richest chocolate among all. The amount of cocoa was ideal, so it was not too sweet to have. The different layers of chocolate also enhanced the savoury of the dessert. . Located at Pacific Place, they offered dine-in service as well. One can sit comfortably at the resto to have afternoon tea. But we simply bought takeaway this time. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Went to this French resto in Pacific Place with colleagues for lunch. . The Lunch started with complimentary bread. Hotly-served, the pleasantly soft bread was accompanied by butter. Then, I ordered the Three Courses Lunch Set, which included two appetisers and one main course. Here are my selections: -Appetisers: -Seared Lobster Salad (+HKD38) The lobster was firm and elastic, with the mango sauce elevating its umami. The sauce made the fresh vegetables more appetising with a subtle combination of sweetness and sourness. -French Onion Soup (+HKD28) Topped with a thick layer of cheese toast, the soup was filled with shredded onion slices. The sweetness of the onions was apparent, and the soup became utterly rich due to the cheese, making it slightly heavy. -Main Course: -Pan-fried Fish of the Day The fish of the day was salmon. Accompanied by fish roes and spinach, the salmon had an alluring, crispy skin. It was tender and extremely succulent, and the bursting fish roes added more layers to each bite. I added HKD38 for a French Pastry, which I selected the Serradura Flower Pot. Resembling a sunflower in a pot, it looked super cute. The crumbled Marie biscuits and whipped cream mimicked the soil, while the chocolate cup served as the flower pot. The sweetness of the flower pot was a bit overwhelming for me, but the dessert had a delightful combination of creaminess and crunchiness overall. For drinks, I ordered a Hot Mocha. Topped with some cocoa powder, the mocha was smooth with an intense chocolate flavour. . The staff was quite nice and helpful. When asked about water preferences, we requested still water, and it seemed there was no extra charge for it. . The interior of the resto is not very large, but it looks elegant with decorations which remind you of France. The maximum group size it can accommodate should be around 8 people. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Colleague treated us cakes from this French resto. . She bought Mont Blanc (HKD68) and Tiramisu (HKD68). The Mont Blanc was topped with chestnut mousse that wrapped around airy chestnut sponge cake and rum-scented Chantilly cream. Each bite was lifted by the gentle crunch of crispy rice, adding contrast to the otherwise smooth, luxurious texture. The Tiramisu was served in a bottled form, with espresso-soaked ladyfingers and luscious mascarpone cream, enhanced by the refined notes of Tia Maria coffee liqueur, Amaretto, and a touch of whisky. ”

“ The service here is very good and staff are friendly. The lunch set veers on the expensive side but is a good place for hanging with a few girlfriends. Expect to pay over 50hkd for a cup of coffee. The macarons here are expensive and crush easily relative to other brands. However, they come in a wide range of unique flavours. ”

“ pretty nice, the duck leg have surprise, and the skin edges was crunchy, nice, slow cook beef was very soft, but feeling too over, the lobsters bisfit soup is strong enough of the lobsters, but not enough silky texture. the truffles chip really very frest, like it a lot. the Melton chocolate cake very sweet and strong chocolate, not my cup of tea. I can say the main causes was really nice! ”

“ The environment is so nice and cozy. The cake set comes with a piece of cake and a drink. I tried the lemon tart and my honey had the yuzu cheesecake. The lemon tart is so crispy! With very lemony flavor and well balance of sweetness and sourness. The yuzu cheese cake is kinda creamy, not overly sweetened and refreshing. The rose latte is creamy, with nice hint of rose flavor and the coffee is mild. The apple tea is light and smooth, even it is unsweetened but goes pretty well with the cakes. We had a good time . ”
